Gary "Plump"
Johnson
(September 26, 1955 - March 28, 2007)
On
September 26, 1955, Gary Bernard Johnson was born in
Camden, NJ to the Late James C. Johnson "Big Jim"
and the late
Mabel L. Johnson.
On Wednesday, March 28, 2007 Gary departed
this life and went on
to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Gary graduated from the Camden City Public
School System in
1976. His favorite subject in school was Math. Gary was an
all
around athlete. He played Varsity Football at Camden High
School.
He also enjoyed swimming and wrestling.
He was a skilled worker in carpentry, landscaping,
a regular all
around handyman and could fix anything. All his friends knew
him
as "Plump". He was always that kind of guy that
would lend you a
hand in any type of job you needed him for.
Gary was employed at Thomas Nelson Bible
Factory in Camden, NJ
where they made Bible's that were distributed all over the
world.
Gary worked there for 10 years until his illness prevented
him from
working there any longer.
Gary was a fun loving and happy individual.
He loved his family and
his family loved him, especially his baby sister Karen, who
cared for
him for many years.
He leaves to mourn and cherish his memory

James C. Johnson, Jr. of Camden, NJ; two sisters: Dianne M.
Johnson and Karen D. Johnson both of Camden, NJ; special
nephew and niece: Deborah and Emerson Hill: one uncle: Warren
Waples, Sr. of Camden, NJ: three aunts: Isabel Waples of Camden,
NJ; Vera Johnson of Ohio; Zella Johnson of Camden, NJ; One
great
aunt: Louise E. Miller of Williamstown, NJ; two sister-in
laws: Gloria
Johnson of Camden, NJ, Renee Johnson of Pennsauken, NJ; one
brother-in-law Jackie Johnson, Sr. of Camden, NJ; a special
family
friend Brenda Johnson of Pennsauken, NJ, and a devoted friend
Rusty Walker and a host of nephews, nieces, relatives and
friends. |
