Obituary

Regina Delores (Momma) Polk was born on October 26, 1960 in Polktown, North Carolina to Janet Richardson and Ernest Polk. Regina departed her life on June 25, 2011 in Camden, New Jersey, after a long time illness. Regina was predeceased by her father Ernest Polk and Step-Father Morris Richardson. Regina attended the Camden School System. Regina's family members share good memories of her. She also was surrounded by many life long friends. Regina was very kind hearted as long as her beautiful eyes didn't change colors and you didn't get on her bad side. She was always willing to help anyone in need and never forgot anyone's birthday. Regina enjoyed buying her nieces and nephews their first pair of Shapiro shoes. Shanika, Regina's daughter, holds dear one of her mothers famous quotes: "Let's Dance" and "Come on, take my picture". Regina leaves to mourn her daughter Shanika (Kea) Polk; two sons, Tyheese A. Johnson and Eric Johnson; four grandsons, Nasir, Shareef, Kani and Joshua; a son-in-law, DollarBill; two specials friends, Alonzo Johnson and James (Chappy) Banks. She also leaves her mother Janet Richardson; three brothers, Cecil R. Polk, John E. Polk, Sircarr R. Richardson and two sisters, Katherine J. Polk, Serena L. Townsend; one sister-in-law Inez Polk; one brother-in-law Harold Townsend; thirteen nieces and nephews; six aunts; two uncles and a host of cousins, great cousins and friends. Regina was and always will be a treasure to those who knew her. A link to our family chain that will never tarnish and in our hearts shall forever shine.
